Proofreading

What is proofreading?

Proofreading is the final check of a completed, copyedited project or manuscript.

It is a very close edit—letter by letter, word by word, sentence by sentence—to ensure there are no errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and consistency.

Errors arise when documents are made into proofs prior to printing, so they must be carefully interrogated for typographical and formatting errors, and to ensure all the desired editing changes were made.

I am able to assist you in proofreading fiction, non-fiction, medical and scientific manuscripts.
