Structural editing

What is structural editing?

Structural editing is looking at the text as a whole to decide whether it needs rewriting, restructuring or reformatting. The whole project is assessed for:

  • fluency of the text
  • consistency
  • accuracy
  • sequence of information
  • placement of information, figures, images and tables
  • contents and indexing

I am able to assist you in structurally editing fiction, non-fiction, medical and scientific manuscripts.
